Job Description

We are seeking experienced a Trade Assistant to join our team in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assist electricians and mechanical fitters with field tasks, ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are ready and available.

  • Prepare work areas with appropriate safety setups including EWP and other equipment.

  • Support the installation of electrical systems and mechanical assemblies.

  • Assist in basic testing and troubleshooting under supervision.

  • Accurately record inspections, observations, and help prepare compliance and project reports.

  • Actively participate in learning opportunities to gain knowledge of systems and standards.

  • Accurately complete timesheets and job tracking records.

  • Follow all safety procedures, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Report safety concerns and incidents promptly.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a trade assistant or similar field-based role.

  • Must be a Kalgoorlie resident.

  • Strong interest in mechanical or electrical systems, with a willingness to learn.

  • Knowledge of Konecranes and Demag products is a plus.

  • Crane Driving Certificate of Competency required.

  • Dogging/Rigging licence highly regarded.

  • EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket desirable.

  • Valid and current Driver Licence essential.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Understanding of and commitment to WHS, Environmental, and Quality standards.
