Job Description

Title = Technical Coordinator

Location = 8929 20 St, Edmonton, AB T6P 1K8

As part of the Service Operations, you will be assisting with the service delivery in your assigned territory. You will be responsible for reviewing the technical aspect of the jobs and ordering all parts and material to ensure the field operatives have all that they require to repair or upgrade the customers’ equipment. 

Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Be engaged and aware of your Territories’ overall Service Operations and customer needs.  
  • Review work packages for proper descriptions, ensuring estimated hours are correct.  
  • Review existing draft purchase requisitions and create purchase requisitions as needed for parts and materials. Submit PO Requests to SAP for processing.  
  • Ensure all pertinent documentation is attached to the service request in Siebel.  
  • Close communication and interaction with the Service Manager, Coordinators. 
  • Review system-generated service requests for all required and pertinent information.  
  • Ensure pertinent information is attached to the service request in a consistent, organized manner 
  • Ensure the customer purchase order is attached to the service request, obtain from Sales if missing.  
  • Review technical job scope and ensure price and estimated margin is achievable. Consult with Territory Operations Manager or Service Manager as needed. 
  • Update Start & Completion dates based on anticipated delivery of materials.  
  • Track and receive materials as required. 
  • Proactively monitor the delivery of materials, and update internal stakeholders as needed.  
  • Assist Schedule Coordinator with procuring parts for on-going service requests.  
  • Initiate and oversee RMAs for returns of incorrect parts.  
  • Follow and assist in the enforcement of all safety rules and procedures including those established by the customer. 
  • Resourceful and willingness to support in emergency breakdowns until customer equipment is functional. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Technical Associate’s degree, Journeyman Parts Technician or equivalent preferred, prior equivalent experience and training will be considered. 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years experience in industrial service preferred. Must be customer oriented. Basic technical knowledge and understanding. Able to learn from technical resources/documentation, good communication, organizational and PC skills. Able to prioritize tasks in a fast pace service environment.
