Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Lead Specialist to join our Rope Hoist Development team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end mechanical design and refinement of hoist components, ensuring our lifting solutions remain at the cutting edge of safety and efficiency.

From initial ideation to final standard production drawings, you will work within a high-performance environment utilizing industry-leading CAD and PLM tools.

Key Responsibilities

Core Design & Engineering

  • Ideation: Conceptualize new design solutions and participate in the early-stage development of hoist sub-systems.
  • Calculations: Perform rigorous design calculations using corporate standard methods to ensure structural integrity and load-bearing capacity.
  • Mechanical Design: Develop high-quality components for hoist systems, specializing in casted parts, sheet metal, and complex fabrications.
  • Sustainability & Innovation: Actively participate in and drive design efforts for sustainability initiatives and product enhancements, constantly seeking opportunities for improvisation.

Technical Execution & Systems

  • CAD/PLM Mastery: Create precise 3D models and standard production drawings using Siemens NX.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage all design data and revisions within the Teamcenter (TC) environment.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure all drawings adhere to corporate standards and international engineering regulations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Business Processes & Documentation: Provide technical data to the Sales Configurator and Documentation teams.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Provide Design/data for physical prototyping and product testing to validate designs.

Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards


Qualifications

Candidate Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Post-Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience, with a strong preference for candidates coming from a Research & Development (R&D) environment.
  • Direct experience in the Material Handling Industry (cranes, hoists, conveyors, or similar lifting equipment) is highly desirable.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Software: Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter is mandatory.
  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of casting, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface effectively with cross-functional global teams.
