Job Description

Role Purpose

Own end‑to‑end product modelling and configurator maintenance for Light Lifting & Heavy‑Duty products within ChainSystem—ensuring accurate rules, seamless integrations, compliant drawings, and a frictionless sales experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Model and maintain products in ChainSystem, including parameterization, feature options, constraints, and variant rules
  • Build and refine ChainSystem UI (forms, flows, validations) to support efficient quoting and configuration.
  • Implement rules/logic per specifications and ensure pricing/calculation correctness across brands/regions.
  • Integrate with DAS, offer letters, SAP/feature codes, pricing, images, and other connected systems.
  • Create and maintain branded price lists, coordinating updates with stakeholders.
  • Quality assurance & testing of configurator functionality and end‑to‑end flows; triage defects and regressions.
  • Teamcenter integration for manufacturing drawings; manage templates and approvals across multi‑CAD formats (2D/3D, PDF, STEP, DWG).
  • Ticket/Tracker execution: work through Mango/PCP trackers, keep stakeholders updated, and close actions on time.
  • Collaborate with Product Configurator Specialists and cross‑functional teams for rollout, testing, and user support.
  • Awareness of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards

Tools & Environments

  • ChainSystem (primary sales configurator platform) and connected calculation tools (Summium, Camos, Markman, KC tools).
  • Teamcenter for drawings/templates and approvals; multi‑CAD formats (2D/3D, PDF, STEP, DWG).
  • DAS, SAP/feature codes, pricing libraries, and offer letter integrations.
  • Jira (Mango / PCP) trackers for planning, execution, and communication.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • B..Tech/BE
  • 2–6 years (for Modeller) of experience in product configuration, rules modelling, or CAD/PLM integrations.
  • Hands‑on with any sales/engineering configurator (ChainSystem, Camos, Tacton, etc.) and familiarity with SAP integrations.
  • Working knowledge of PLM (Teamcenter) and CAD data/approvals.
  • Strong analytical skills for rules/constraints; comfort with UI workflows and test design.

Core Competencies

  • Rule modelling & configuration logic (constraints, dependencies, variant management)
  • Systems integration mindset (data flows across DAS/SAP/offer letters/pricing/images)
  • Quality orientation (E2E testing, defect triage, regression control)
  • Collaboration & stakeholder communication (work with Product Configurator Specialists, testers, and business)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Configuration accuracy (zero pricing/logic errors in production) and defect escape rate
  • Tracker SLA compliance (Mango/PCP on‑time closure, clear updates to stakeholders)
  • Cycle time for modelling changes and price list updates
  • Integration health (stable handoffs to DAS/SAP/offer letters/images)
  • Drawing/approval throughput via Teamcenter (template conformance; multi‑CAD readiness)

Nice‑to‑Have

  • Exposure to Summium, Camos, Markman; experience with multi‑brand, multi‑region rule sets.
  • Scripting/automation for validation or data prep; basic SQL or Python for test datasets.
  • Experience with structured price list governance and template design.
