We are seeking an experienced Installation Supervisor to lead and coordinate crane installation projects across the UK. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, first time, and on budget, to the highest safety and engineering standards, while providing an excellent customer experience aligned with our customer promise.
You will work closely with installers, planners, sales teams, and external partners to successfully install and commission both CTO and ETO products, supporting our business plan and driving continuous improvement across installation operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site visits at tender stage to confirm installation methodologies are achievable and aligned with budget expectations
- Develop, compile, and present high-quality lift plans and supporting documentation, confidently explaining installation methodologies to clients
- Source and coordinate labour, plant, and materials required for installations
- Lead installation teams through installation, commissioning, crane handover, and completion documentation
- Maintain and enforce Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and Risk Assessments throughout all activities
- Support the sales team with installation input during project offerings
- Maximise productivity and effective utilisation of direct installation resources
- Support Installation Planners with day-to-day coordination, proactively managing delays and resolving issues while keeping customers informed
- Champion customer experience to encourage repeat business and leave a positive, lasting impression of Konecranes
- Drive continuous improvement in installation processes and operational efficiency
This role may also include additional duties within your capability to meet the needs of the business.
Skills and Experience (Preferred)
- Strong ability to plan, prioritise, and organise workloads
- Proven experience working on construction-based projects
- Experience managing remote, field-based teams
- Good understanding of Lifting Directives, Machinery Directive, and Building Standards
- Ability to interpret architectural, engineering, and OEM drawings
- Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and AutoCAD
- Effective problem-solving skills

Education & Qualifications (Preferred but Not Essential)
Training can be provided where required.
- Evidence of a Supervisory or Management discipline
- Site-based safety qualifications (SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH)
- Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification NVQ minimum
- Appointed Person qualification with proven experience
- CPCS Lifting Supervisor
- CPCS Slinger/Signaller
