Job Description
We are excited to announce an open position for an Innovation Engineer . This is an unique opportunity to contribute to the in Frontend of innovation & become part of Global Innovation Management Team.
About the Innovation Management Team: We focus on developing ideas into new business initiatives- Product, services and reducing time-to-market for the most promising ideas. We work closely with business owners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of ideas and Innovation programs/initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Idea Generation & Management:
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and creative workshops.
- Managing and commenting on the ideas received on Konecranes Orchidea platform to ensure active participation from employees across Konecranes.
- Idea Evaluation & Decision Making:
- Evaluate ideas using scoring models, feasibility assessment or decision matrices.
- Present findings to stakeholders for approval to select and refine the most promising ideas/concepts for development.
- Development of Concept, Creation of Prototype, and Testing:
- Convert Raw ideas into concepts ensure relevant stake holder understanding & decision making.
- Develop prototypes and do testing and document the result of the same.
- Analyze market trends, emerging technologies. Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Take lead to arrange & manage the internal innovation program for fostering creativity and innovation culture at global level. Collaborating with external university, stakeholder for development of concepts/ideas.
- Work cross-functionally from an engineering perspective; plan, execute and deliver full engineering scope. Take responsibility for mechanical design and creating all necessary documentation.
- Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/ Mechatronics or equivalent with relevant 3-5 Years of experience.
- Knowledge about the development of ideas or products.
- Good communication skills, event management & content creation to boost the Innovation culture.
- Knowledge about SCAMPER, TRIZ, SWOT & Design thinking will add value.
- You should have an innovative spirit and enthusiasm to work independently and lead the project within stipulated time.
