Life at Konecranes Traineeship as a Business development trainee

Meet Juho Lauronen - Business Development trainee

Juho Lauronen spent his first summer as a Business Development Trainee and has been studying industrial management for four years at LUT University in Lappeenranta (Finland). His major is in the Global Management of Innovation and Technology program. Generally, Juho is especially interested in business development and management. His decision to come work for Konecranes was influenced by the positive impression of the offered position and the good experiences he heard from others about the company.

At work in the product management team, he has had the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks. For example, Juho has developed a tool for product price changes, updated training and customer materials, and worked on industry market research. His tasks have included a lot of data analysis, such as raw materials and sales related to products. Additionally, Juho has had the chance to make marketing videos and edit images, as he has a background in photography. Juho states that he has enjoyed his work very much: "I have really liked working at Konecranes. I feel that I have been well included in everything I wanted to be involved in, as well as invited to new things of which I wasn't even aware. The working atmosphere has been excellent."

Since Juho handles many different documents in English, fluent proficiency in English is crucial. Due to the varying tasks and the multicultural work environment, he emphasizes the importance of adaptability and social skills required from the employee.
