Meet Dinesh Rupchandani

Impressive career development

Dinesh has worked at Konecranes for over 12 years, which is nothing short of impressive. He started out his career here by helping to set up our global IT Service Center and refining IT processes on a more general level. 

Today, Dinesh is the Head of our global IT Service Center in India and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that Konecranes’ IT operations run smoothly. Alongside many of his other tasks, his main responsibility includes managing a team that provides top-notch IT services and development for key business applications. 

“We tend to support almost all of Konecranes’ employees in functions related to IT, both internally and externally from India. We are happy to give a world class service,” Dinesh elaborates. 

Joys of the job

What excites Dinesh the most about his job is our company’s culture – open, vibrant, and continuously evolving. He finds his colleagues incredibly supportive, and the continuous learning opportunities offered by the company keep him inspired and engaged. 

“As we improve our IT services, we get good feedback from our users – we have a good record of customer satisfaction.”

His vast experiences in the field have helped him gain credibility and respect from his peers; people know that if a task concerns our IT Helpdesk, Dinesh has most likely been involved with it. 

Perfecting his skillset

At Konecranes, Dinesh’s expertise has only expanded. He has been able to hone his knowledge in IT processes, master various IT tools, and embrace different managerial roles. These skills have not only influenced his career, but also shaped him into a proactive thinker and an important figure in his industry. 

Interestingly, Dinesh loves reading about technology, process excellence, and management in his free time. He’s also drawn to the philosophies of spirituality; a balanced interest that helps him understand both technology and the human aspects of management. 

“If my customers and employees are happy, I’m also very happy. Learning more about spirituality helps keep me grounded, maintain a correct frame of mind, and have more empathy towards those around me.”

According to Dinesh, Konecranes has significantly supported his professional growth through many training programs and management opportunities. Thus, the company has instilled a lot of trust in Dinesh, seen in his abilities to manage various tasks and embody different types of roles.
