Job Description

For our location in Mannheim, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager to start as soon as possible. You will be responsible for supporting countries in Latin Amerika, North Africa and Middle East, with location preferred in Germany to increase the SWF partner footprint with new accounts and widen the relationship/business with existing accounts.

You will be the first point of contact for our SWF partners when it comes to consulting, preparing quotations, selling, and supporting our products. You will play a central role as the interface between our partners and internal departments – from advising on quotations and orders to clarifying customer inquiries and support requests.

This is what we offer you:

  • Detailed on-the-job training
  • Hybrid working and flexible working hours
  • Fully equipped kitchen with free coffee, tea and fresh fruit
  • Versatile support programs for employees (health & pension benefits, assistance with consumer issues, legal issues or psycho-social concerns through external counseling)
  • Employee discounts (corporate benefits)
  • Individual training and development opportunities
  • Free parking and good public transport connections

That's what you can do with us:

  • Responsibility: Reporting directly to the Sales Director of the SWF brand in Germany, close coordination on all business-related issues, and supportive cooperation with the relevant departments.
  • Strategy development: Helping to shape and implement a global B2B sales strategy to strengthen the competitive position in the regions, including complete market coverage in the countries served and the development of holistic solutions instead of individual products.
  • Customer management: Advising, managing, and supporting SWF partners within the framework of key account management (technical and commercial); active sales responsibility for products and services, with possible expansion of the area of responsibility.
  • Goal orientation: Negotiation of sales conditions, agreement and tracking of targets (e.g., product mix, sales, market share), monitoring of target achievement, and ensuring compliance with contracts, ethical standards, and internal guidelines (DOA).

What you need to bring:

  • Education: Completed technical or commercial training or a relevant degree (diploma or equivalent).
  • Personality: Independent, structured, and goal-oriented approach to work with strong planning and organizational skills; high degree of personal responsibility and strong interpersonal and sales skills.
  • Experience: At least five years of professional experience in a multinational company (MNC) as well as regular international travel in the regions served; experience in technical sales of hoists or crane applications is advantageous.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of local and regional markets; ideally experience in sales and planning of solutions related to rope and chain hoists, control systems, CraneKit or LightCrane solutions for material handling.
  • IT and language skills: Confident use of sales-related tools and ideally the SAP system; very good language skills in English and Spanish are required; language skills in Portuguese and French are an advantage.
