How did you choose your career in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)?

How do you promote safety culture at Konecranes?  

‘’At Konecranes, we prioritize a safety-centered culture as crucial for well-being and success. We invest in safety programs, leadership, and clear communications. Our team participates in safety committees and decisions, undergoing targeted training and drills, and we implement behavior-based safety initiatives to maintain a conscientious environment.’’

What is your most significant HSE achievement?  

‘’Receiving the Professional Excellence in Environment, Health, and Safety Initiative Award from CE Worldwide & FMLA is a proud achievement. This award recognized the extensive HSE initiatives I have implemented at Konecranes, which have significantly enhanced safety at all levels.’’ 

What advice would you give to an individual considering a HSE career?  

‘’Success in HSE requires passion, care, and commitment. Building a strong HSE foundation, gaining practical experience, understanding specific risks, and developing effective communication and ethical standards are essential. Prioritizing safety and cultivating passion are key to thriving in this critical role.’’
