Life at Konecranes Leading with purpose: Konecranes Leadership Principles
At Konecranes, we believe leadership is more than a position — it’s a mindset and a set of behaviors that guide how to lead with purpose, connect with others, and make an impact.
Konecranes Leadership Principles bring our values to life and clarify what leadership looks like at Konecranes. By inspiring, aligning, and leading effectively, our leaders help build trust, strong performance and long-term success for our customers, partners, and employees.
What are the three Leadership Principles?
Our Leadership Principles are built on our values and focus on three dimensions:
Leading Self: Integrity and purpose
Demonstrate accountability, show empathy, and lead by example. Take care of well-being and own development to inspire others. Cultivate resilience and adaptability, embrace challenging situations with a growth mindset.
Leading Others: Engaging and winning together
Lead high-performing teams by fostering trust and collaboration. Engage and enable others. Welcome different perspectives and ensure everyone feels respected, valued and heard. Inspire and support people to drive collective success.
Leading Business: Vision and impact
Lead with clarity. Create a compelling vision aligning and inspiring others to achieve common goals. Drive innovation, maintain customer focus, and achieve sustainable business growth. Have an outside-in perspective.
Turning principles into practice
To support these principles, we have defined Leadership Competencies that describe the behaviors needed to succeed as a leader at Konecranes. We are committed to developing our leaders through targeted training programs, mentoring, coaching, team development and a broad range of other development opportunities. What do the principles mean in practice?
