The VR Training Specialist will lead the design, development, and implementation of immersive Virtual Reality training experiences across Konecranes ISE. This role supports strategic learning initiatives by leveraging VR to enhance safety, technical proficiency, and onboarding effectiveness. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create scalable, engaging, and measurable VR modules for various roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop VR Training Modules:
Create immersive simulations for crane operations, safety walkthroughs, and technical onboarding using platforms like Unreal Engine, Unity, Synergy XR and Meta Quest Pro. - Collaborate Across Functions:
Work with business and external vendors to align VR content with real-world tasks and learning objectives. - Pilot and Scale VR Programs:
Lead pilot programs in selected regions, gather feedback, and iterate on content to ensure effectiveness and scalability. - Manage VR Hardware and Software:
Oversee deployment, support process and maintenance of VR headsets and licenses, ensuring compatibility with standalone and PC-based systems. - Evaluate and Report Impact:
Track usage, collect learner feedback, and analyze performance data to demonstrate ROI and inform future development. - Support Content Creation and Admin Tools:
Utilize content creator tools to upload 360 images, 3D models, and training scenarios. Manage publishing workflows and collaborative environments.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Computer Science, Game Design, or related field.
- Experience in VR development or immersive learning environments.
- Proficiency in Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with VR hardware (Meta Quest, Oculus).
- Strong project management, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in technical training, safety modules, or industrial environments is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of crane operations or industrial machinery.
- Experience with eLearning platforms and LMS integration.
- Ability to work in cross-cultural, multilingual environments.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in learning.
