Job Description

Konecranes ISE BU Material Flow Solutions has global accountability for automation development and supports the product lines and grand regions to improve the business further in collaboration with Group Technology functions. We are known all over the world for trail-blazing technology, delivery excellence, and can-do spirit. The Automation Delivery team is responsible to deliver proven automation solutions and controls for our tailored Industrial cranes in our delivery projects to our customers. Responsible for our Delivery projects automation design and deliveries to our customers.

We are looking for a Software Engineer, Automation for our Global Automation Engineering, delivery team in Hyvinkää.

Your main task is to take responsibility for automation engineering as a part of the project team. You will work with products and customers for various industrial segments such as Steel Mills, Paper Mills, Automotive Plants, Power Plants, Harbours, Aviation etc.

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Automation design and PLC programming of industrial crane projects.
  • Crane start-up activities at customer sites globally.
  • Co-operation with product platform teams.
  • Supporting sales and delivery process.
  • Co-operation with Konecranes factories and global frontline units.

Qualifications

What you should bring:                

  • M.Sc or B.Sc degree in Automation Engineering.
  • Highly experienced in PLC programming and site commissioning work is considered an advantage.
  • Skills with Siemens PLC tools (TIA Portal and Step7), and knowledge of other additional PLC brands such as Allen Bradley or Beckhoff are considered as a benefit.
  • Ability to work as a part of a project team, while working independently comes naturally for you as well.
  • Willingness and ability to travel globally.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent language skills in English, written and spoken. Other languages seen as a benefit.
  • Willingness to learn and develop your skills continuously.
