Job Description

Konecranes is seeking an experienced Specialist ECAD, PLM & Alfresco AMS to join our Engineering Applications Support team. In this role, you will provide functional support for ECAD applications, with a primary focus on Zuken E3, associated engineering tools, and integrations with Teamcenter.

As the primary Level 2 (L2) functional expert, you will support engineering users globally by analyzing issues, managing incidents, maintaining knowledge assets, coordinating escalations, and ensuring efficient resolution of application-related challenges. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with global engineering teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering application landscape.

Key Responsibilities

ECAD Application Support

  • Provide L2 functional support for Zuken E3 Schematics and associated modules.
  • Support the growing adoption of E3 Multiuser, E3 Cable, and other E3 modules.
  • Analyze and resolve configuration, usability, functionality, and user-related issues.
  • Serve as the primary evaluation point for all E3-related support requests.
  • Assess incidents and determine whether they can be resolved within L2 support or require L3 engagement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely incident routing and escalation management.
  • Minimize unnecessary L3 workload through effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.

PLM & Integration Support

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Teamcenter and E3 integrations.
  • Support translation-related requests from global users by reviewing, analyzing, and preparing translation data.
  • Validate translation lists against E3 and Teamcenter data structures.
  • Support troubleshooting of project naming conventions and file structure inconsistencies.

Engineering Applications Support

  • Provide L2 support for Powerator and other engineering applications.
  • Handle functionality and configuration-related user inquiries.
  • Support migration and conversion initiatives, including:
    • DDSC to E3 migrations
    • Legacy ECAD-to-E3 migration projects
  • Assist in maintaining engineering application standards and best practices.

Engineering Workstation & Deployment Support

  • Support engineering workstation deployment activities.
  • Assist users with:
    • Software installations
    • Virtual machine environments
    • Legacy tool distribution
    • Security-compliant software setup
  • Support engineering teams in ensuring stable and efficient application environments.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work closely with global engineering, IT, and application support teams.
  • Maintain and enhance support documentation and knowledge articles.
  • Contribute to process improvements and service quality initiatives.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and user satisfaction across the engineering community.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure awareness and adherence to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards

The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in PLM, ECAD, or Engineering Application Support environments.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience with Zuken E3 ECAD applications.
  • Proven experience working with E3 and Teamcenter environments.
  • Good understanding of engineering application support processes and incident management.
  • Experience in supporting engineering software deployments and user environments.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to evaluate system issues and identify appropriate resolution paths.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with other ECAD applications such as:
    • ecsCAD
    • DDSC
  • Knowledge of engineering data migration and conversion projects.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering design processes and workflows.
  • Exposure to PLM-integrated engineering application ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in PLM, ECAD, or Engineering Application Support environments.
