Job Description

We are now strengthening the team of our Port Cranes Project Management Office (PMO) and are looking for a Project Manager to take charge in given Port Cranes delivery project(s) for Yard (RTG, Straddle Carriers) or VLC Cranes (STS, RMG, Goliath Gantry Crane, Jib cranes), within established budget, scope, timeframe and P/L responsibility and to ensure customer satisfaction in line with Konecranes Framework. The Project Manager acts as primary interface to customer during project execution.

In this role you will manage the core project team and address the targets and commitments to the subprojects (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, shipping, and site works). You ensure that the whole project in executed strictly in accordance with corporate values, process handbook processes and contract specific formalities, and engage, coach and supervise the project team members to ensure their performance and individual development.

 Your key responsibilities

· Prepare / Monitor project budget and constantly keep the result forecast updated.

· Monitor project performance against the project plan with special attention to customer, risks, time, cost and quality.

· Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the scope, budget, or timeline of a project.

· Know the latest profitability estimate of the project and manage project risks actively.

· Solve and settle the project issues, disagreements and disputes arising from the customer or subprojects.

· Provide regular project schedule update to management using project tools and communicate significant changes with customers, sales and internal team.

To succeed in this role, you should understand supply agreement content and can interpret it for the project team and ensure adherence to the requirements and timelines to achieve customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

What should you bring?

· Project Management Experience: Proven work experience with delivery projects involving large-scale equipment. Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is an advantage.

· Technical attitude: Understanding of general large size machinery manufacturing concepts and machinery functioning principles.

· Customer-Centric Approach: Ability to understand customers' needs, adapt to different industries, and continuously learn to facilitate informed decision-making.

· Leadership and Team Building: Proficiency in team management, including building and leading a cross-functional project team. Effective management of relationships, both internal and external stakeholders, including customers and subprojects.

· Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written), as it will be the primary language for communication. French or Spanish skills will be an advantage.
