Do you want to enable more sustainable future for container handling business?

Port Services is looking for a Product Manager, Ecolifting & Power Option Retrofits, to drive the expansion of our Ecolifting retrofit portfolio. Productized service products help Konecranes to fulfill our commitment of supporting customers’ assets throughout their entire lifecycle.

Business Unit Port Services, a critical part of Business Area Port Solutions, is a known and trusted service partner within port industry. Port Services offers a wide range of services both internally and externally. These services are, for example; maintenance and inspection agreements, retrofit and modernization packages, spare parts, training, consulting and digital services for port equipment manufactured by Konecranes as well as other manufacturers.

As Product Manager, Ecolifting & Power Option Retrofits, you will be part of Port Services’ Product Management team cooperating with all other Port Services units, equipment lines, R&D and external customer globally. Your main focus will be in developing and managing technically and commercially a suite of power option retrofit solutions for older generation equipment. These retrofits are for example electrification retrofits, battery and hybrid retrofits and modern efficient diesel-generator retrofits.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically manage and own the service products from conception to grave
  • Continuously monitor market needs and requirements, considering future technology / developments, competitor products/services and the changing requirements of regulatory bodies.
  • Liaise with other Product Managers to create application packages from multiple service products
  • Produce and maintain product support documentation
  • Plan and organize product launches and trainings
  • Participate and support in sales cases by providing best practices

Qualifications

What should you bring?

To succeed in this role, you need to have, in addition to business-driven mindset and engineering skills, excellent collaboration skills as you will be interacting globally with multiple stakeholders. For you, working and managing things remotely is not a habit force-learned by Covid-19 pandemic, but a skill mastered over years of practice. You are a passionate and self-driven product management professional having the “going above and beyond” -mindset in everything you do.

What we also expect you to have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Business Administrations or years of experience in equivalent field
  • Years of experience in product management and development
  • Experience from large machinery power options (cable reels, busbars, battery solutions, diesel generators etc.)
  • Good understanding of the machinery industry business
  • Customer-centric thinking
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

The role requires occasional international travel.
