We are looking for an experienced individual for the position of Insurance Manager to manage the global insurance programs and provide expertise about insurance matters in the organisation.

You will report to Head of Risk Management and be a part of global legal team. This position is based in Finland.

Your key responsibilities:

• Manage and govern Konecranes Group’s global insurance programs including annual placements and other annual, regular, daily and special project activities.
• Support Konecranes Group and businesses to manage and develop contract terms related to insurances, being a principal insurance contact in co-operation with business and legal experts.
• Stay abreast of Konecranes’ insurable risks and respective insurances available from markets.
• Support and advice Konecranes organization with insurance expertise. Organize and provide training and communication on insurance matters to the organization.
• Govern Insurance claims management, oversight and reporting.
• Uphold and develop good insurance broker and insurer relationships.
• Ensure that the relevant insurance documents are maintained, stored, distributed and made available, in co-operation with the insurance broker.

What should you bring?

• Master’s or bachelor's degree in relevant field (legal, finance, engineering etc.) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in international environment.
• The core lines of insurances your experience should cover are:
  • General and Product Liability / 3rd party liability / Public Liability insurance
  • Property Damage and Business Interruption insurance
  • Construction / Erection All Risk insurance
  • Marine and Inland Cargo insurance
  • Cyber insurance
  • Directors’ and Officers’ liability insurance
• Demonstrate working knowledge and experience of planning, negotiating, placing, and managing global insurance programs.
• Familiarity and understanding of different insurances, various insurance practicalities and best practices, including legal aspects.
• Ability to co-operate with various stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of processes and requirements.
• Business mindset and understanding of the insurance aspects from business perspective.
• Strong ability to analyse, visualise and present data as well as attention to detail. Excellent command of Office tools.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate difficult matters in an understandable manner.
• Fluent in English and other relevant language skills, including solid Finnish, are an asset.
• A good team player as well as capable of working independently.
• You consent with a background check and do not have a criminal record.
