Job Description
As the Field Service Specialist, you will be involved in Konecranes crane maintenance and commissioning activities within the Ports Service organization. The role includes performing on-site service works, testing, and inspections, requiring you to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights.
You will be part of BA Port Solutions, BU Port Service Global Service Delivery organization, reporting to the Head of Site Delivery Operations.
This is a new role to strengthen our support for port and container cranes with focus on MHC (mobile harbour crane) in ensuring smooth maintenance, electrical installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting of port cranes equipment in Poland. Depending on business needs you will also support regional and global projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Cranes and cargo handling equipment installations, participation in commissioning, inspections, repairs, other services and retrofits of equipment
- On-call services, advanced maintenance, site works supervising, equipment troubleshooting and analysis of breakdowns root cause
- Ensuring timely reporting, drafting comprehensive service reports and technical summaries
Qualifications

Please note that this role involves hands-on field work, including working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
What You'll Bring:
- 2-3 years electrical maintenance and installations experience may be required
- Prompt diagrams and drawings reading skills
- Basic industrial PLC, Siemens Step 7, TIA Portal skills
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics (preferable)
- Ability to perform works accurately and thoroughly
- Skills in making technical reports
- Experience in team project execution
- Ability to find a way out of conflict situations, good communication skills
- Readiness to frequent regional and global business travel
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
- High education degree or vocational school
- Driving license category B (driving experience more than two years)
- Polish – fluent (B2 as minimum), English language B1, German - preferable
English will be used for collaboration with your direct manager and global colleagues, as well as during onboarding and business travel.
SEP G1 certificate - electrical safety certificate will be beneficial.

The main location of work is Gdansk area, but this role requires travel to customer locations around 60-70% of working time (Gdansk, Gdyna, Szczecin as primary locations and globally). Additionally to Poland clients, you will take part in global projects and will travel regularly across world.
