Role Overview

As the Director, AI Enablement, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI with Konecranes Technologies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing AI governance frameworks, ensuring ethical AI practices, and leading the new AI Enablement Team. Your expertise will guide us in navigating the complexities of AI, ensuring that our AI initiatives align with our values and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement AI Governance Frameworks: Create comprehensive AI governance policies and frameworks that ensure ethical AI practices, data privacy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Network across business units and global functions, work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, legal, and compliance, to integrate AI governance into all aspects of our operations.
  • Lead the AI Enablement Team: Oversee a team of AI professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of AI projects.
  • Ensure Ethical AI Practices: Advocate for responsible AI usage, addressing potential biases, and ensuring transparency and accountability in AI systems.
  • Monitor and Evaluate AI Systems: Continuously assess the performance and impact of AI systems, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Proactively facilitate effective communication and collaboration with business units, global functions and legal teams to ensure alignment and compliance with AI initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: Extensive experience in AI governance, data privacy, and ethical AI practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and inspire teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration in global matrix environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement strategic AI governance frameworks that align with organizational goals, business strategies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Facilitate communication and collaboration with stakeholders to align AI initiatives. Build strong networks within the organization and industry.
  • Change management: Proven problem-solving skills and ability to lead change in a complex landscape by identifying and implementing tools, technologies, and processes that improve AI capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex AI concepts to diverse stakeholders (both technical and non-technical).
  • Educational Background: Advanced degree in AI, computer science, data science, or a related field.
  • Understanding of Analytics, Data, Data Strategies, and Governance. Proven experience in implementing data governance frameworks and strategies that ensure the effective use and protection of data.
  • Willingness and ability to travel from time to time
