Job Description

As a DevOps Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on this ground-breaking application and become an expert in the field through our comprehensive training program.

TEAMS is built using Java and a range of powerful technologies like Spring Boot, Kafka, Camunda and Liquibase. The front-end utilizes JavaScript frameworks such as node.js and vue.js. What sets our product apart is its ability to adapt to the unique requirements of each customer. No two terminals are the same, and our configurable approach ensures a tailor-made solution for each client.

With high demands from our discerning customers for stability, scalability, performance, and security, we need your analytical skills, collaborative mindset, and creative thinking to help us meet and exceed these expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain build systems, pipelines, and test environments to support a team of 70+ developers and QA professionals.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab to ensure smooth and efficient deployments.
  • Oversee and manage Red Hat Linux environments, ensuring stability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and pipeline issues, ensuring minimal downtime and quick recovery.
  • Collaborate closely with development, QA, and other teams to identify and implement solutions to improve workflows and system reliability.
  • Monitor and manage system health, logs, and performance metrics to ensure optimal operation of all environments.
  • Continuously improve deployment processes and tools, aligning with DevOps best practices and Agile principles.
  • Assist in containerizing applications using Docker and Podman, and manage deployments on container platforms.
  • Support the team in mastering DevOps concepts, tools, and methodologies, fostering a culture of automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on Linux-based infrastructure, particularly Red Hat environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with tools like Bash or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD and Docker.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex system issues.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps concepts, including Agile principles and infrastructure as code.
  • Good understanding of Java and/or C++ ecosystems, including build tools like Maven.
  • Familiarity with system monitoring and logging tools.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience with container management platforms such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef and Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of MSSQL and Oracle databases.
  • VMware vSphere experience.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and integration.
