Scope of responsibilities:
Port Cranes Commissioning Technician would be involved in Konecranes cranes startup and commissioning within the Ports Supply organization, performing on-site works, tests and inspections, with main duties mentioned below:
- Preparation for crane power up
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Testing & commissioning crane’s functions & safety circuits
- Software uploads & updates
- Adjustment of sensors & limit switches
- Installation of spare parts (occasionally, if needed)
- Participation in loading/unloading of ready cranes to/from the vessels
- Ensuring that the work is done according to safety practices and laws
- Ensuring that the specified quality of the product is fulfilled
- Reporting nonconformities related to crane’s operation or installations quality
Requirements:
- Electrical education, preferably Automation Technician or Electrical Technician diploma
- Good technical orientation, both in electrical and mechanical field
- Sense of safety, caution and responsibility to work with heavy lifting equipment
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Preferably at least 2 years of industrial experience
- Understanding of both electrical and mechanical technical drawings & documentation
- English - minimum B2 level, both spoken and written with basic technical vocabulary
- Readiness for overtime and business trips abroad
- Physical fitness and readiness to work outside in different weather conditions
