Can you share your journey so far?

‘'I was drawn to computer science in high school, loving maths and logical thinking. Despite not having a computer then, I enjoyed coding assignments and felt a flow state. I pursued a bachelor’s and master’s in Computer Science and Optimization of Processes at Babes-Bolyai University. Initially considering teaching, I ultimately chose software development.’’

How do you feel about your journey with Konecranes?

What challenges have you faced as a female Software Developer?

‘’The lack of female role models was challenging. For a long time, there was only one other woman working in our team as a developer, a situation that often led to self-doubt. Despite these challenges, I’ve always been evaluated on merit at Konecranes. From day one, I enjoyed equal opportunities and felt included.’’

What advice will you give to aspiring female Software Developers?

‘’Believe in yourself and don’t shy away from the tech field. Focus on continuous development and seize opportunities. Success is likelier when you’re passionate about your work.’’
