Life at Konecranes Inclusion in action

At Konecranes, creating a fair, inclusive, diverse and engaging working environment is a long-term commitment, not a one-off initiative. In 2025, this commitment was reflected in a strong Inclusion Index score of 83% and the launch of a global well-being strategy.

That’s the big picture. But in a global organisation like ours, inclusion truly comes to life at the local level through the actions, ideas and initiatives of teams around the world. And there is a lot to be proud of.

For example, in Finland, our teams in Hämeenlinna and Hyvinkää have established Inclusion & Diversity steering groups that meet regularly. These groups actively explore new ways to strengthen diversity within their locations and raise awareness around inclusion and community.

In Germany, we host an annual “Girl Day”, where women studying in STEM fields can discover our workplace, products and machines and get inspired for future opportunities at Konecranes.

Spain is putting our Inclusion & Diversity commitment into practice, creating greater opportunities for people with diverse physical and cognitive abilities, including the recruitment of our first service technician with a disability.

In Brazil, teams run active training sessions and initiatives that build awareness and understanding around disability inclusion.

In China, we bring families together through a “Family Day” that includes STEM‑focused activities for children, helping the next generation engage with and get excited about these fields.

And in Indonesia, Australia and India, we have launched STEM apprenticeship programmes in close collaboration with schools and educational institutions — helping to nurture and inspire future professionals.

A winning culture is not created by policies alone. It is built through fair practices, trust and the everyday choices made across our organisation.
And this is how we move what matters.
