We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Site Project Engineer to join our RTG (Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane) business line team in our Port Solutions business in Hyvinkää. As a Site Project Engineer Trainee you will be working with project related engineering and site operations tasks. Your daily responsibilities include for example assisting the site crew with commissioning and shipping operations, general site coordination tasks, testing new features and providing general assistance to project lead engineer(s). You will work closely with your team members who help you get started and support you in your day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperation skills and network with the best talents of your industry. The job is based in Hyvinkää, with the possibility for partial remote work. Occasional, and possibly even frequent, business trips to our erection site in Gdansk, Poland are mandatory, and other travels may be required as well.

Qualifications
What kind of talent are we looking for?
This role is ideal for students in the field of electrical, automation or mechanical engineering, who are eager to learn more about project engineering tasks. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your good teamwork skills, hard-working attitude, and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important. For this specific role, proficiency in English is essential.
Requirements:
- Ongoing studies/academic background in engineering studies (electrical, automation or mechanical)
- Understanding of practical engineering and field-related problem solving skills from your studies or working life
- You know how to use traditional IT-programs e.g. Microsoft Office, Email, etc.
- Willingness to travel
- Earlier work experience in similar tasks is seen as beneficial
