We are looking for a Summer Trainee, Security Testing to join our Product Security team in Hyvinkää/Espoo, Finland. As a Security Testing Trainee, you will be working with security testing tools and processes to help improve the security posture of our products and applications.

Your daily responsibilities include for example:

• Running and analysing security tests using industry-standard tools
• Supporting the team in tool adoption and integration into development workflows
• Helping maintain and update security testing environments and documentation

You will work closely with your team members who help you get started and support you in your day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperation skills and network with the best talents of your industry. The job is located in Hyvinkää/Espoo, Finland, with the possibility to work partly remotely.

What kind of talent are we looking for?

This role is ideal for a Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or Software Engineering student who is eager to learn more about security testing and tool adoption. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your good teamwork skills, hard-working attitude, and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.

Requirements:

• Academic background in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related fields (preferably 2nd–4th year studies)
• Understanding of basic security concepts, vulnerability scanning, or secure coding principles from your studies or working life
• Basic knowledge of security testing tools (e.g., BlackDuck, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or similar)
• Ability to read and understand application logs and error messages for troubleshooting
• Interest in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) for security testing tasks
• Earlier work experience in similar tasks is seen as beneficial
