Job Description

The Software Development team in Business Unit Solutions is looking for a Software Test Engineer. The team is responsible for developing new features for container handling applications and managing our software product portfolio. We create solutions ranging from operator-assisting features to fully autonomous equipment, using the latest sensors, positioning systems, lidars, camera technology, and remote operation. These innovations make cranes safer, smarter, and more efficient. The team works with a lean and agile mindset, in close co-operation with the crane business lines.

This position is based in Hyvinkää, Finland and hybrid-remote, the work may involve some business travel.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities would include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test cases and test frameworks, as well as actively participating in design and test reviews. As a Software Test Engineer you would also be willing to share your testing expertise to the developers and help the team with manual testing.


Qualifications

What You Should Bring?

First and foremost, you are a team player with a can-do attitude. You are passionate about problem-solving and continuous improvement. You have a solid understanding of testing industrial equipment, and although you specialize in test automation, you're comfortable working hands-on with real hardware.

To succeed in this position, you should have:

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Automation, Computer Sciences or related field.
  • Solid experience in test automation, preferably for embedded or industrial systems.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python or similar.
  • Experience with CI, Scrum, DevOps processes and development environments.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude.
  • Fluent English. 

To impress us, you also have:

  • Hands-on experience in testing project deliveries.
  • Expertise in Cyber Security eg. CRA or IEC 62443.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety requirements.
