This role is a great fit for a (junior) specialist with some professional experience, capable of working independently and keen to develop their skills in a multicultural environment.

This is a fixed-term contract for one year, with a possibility of extension to a permanent contract.

Are you passionate about automation and robotics? Do you have experience in production or logistics automation development projects? If you answered yes, keep reading!

We aim to advance intra-logistics automation in Konecranes factories around the world, and this position offers an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of that effort. Working at Konecranes will enhance your skills through engaging projects and relevant training, and it may also open up numerous internal career opportunities if you desire to grow within the company in the future.

The primary work location for this role is in Hämeenlinna, where the project team meets in person once a week. You are also welcome to utilise the facilities in Hyvinkää or Espoo. As we approach the end of the year and enter the project implementation phase, additional longer on-site visits to Hämeenlinna will be necessary.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement automation solutions for production and logistics.
  • Work on intra-logistics automation project(s) involving AGVs / AMRs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and automation solution suppliers to ensure project success.
  • Support management of project timelines and deliverables.
  • Document and report project progress and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in automation, robotics or a similar field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in production or logistics automation development projects.
  • Experience with intra-logistics automation (AGVs / AMRs).
  • Systematic and goal-oriented approach with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working proficiency in English. Knowledge of Finnish is an advantage.

We are looking for a professional with previous industrial automation project experience, attention to detail and motivation for the quality that is required in these kinds of projects. To be successful in this role, you will also need to get along with different people and have a team-player mentality. We appreciate past project management experience, but it’s not mandatory.
