In Industrial Equipment Business Unit Solutions, we provide a complete range of advanced material handling solutions and support to many different industries worldwide. Our end-to-end expertise includes planning, engineering, delivering and commissioning. Business Unit Solutions has the end-to-end profitability responsibility for our Process Cranes business in conjunction with our Front-Line units (Regions/Brands). Our targets are to drive profitability improvement, growth and leadership in technology with the Process Cranes offering.
We are seeking a Product Manager for Process Cranes in the Metals industry. You will lead the development and lifecycle management of tailored product applications that meet the specific operational needs of customers in the metals sector. This, individual contributor role is pivotal in translating industry insights into scalable, productized solutions that drive customer value, operational efficiency, and business growth.
You will work closely with colleagues across business units and product lines and facilitate the development of sales on a global scale and explore sales opportunities by following the global market and maintaining a view of competitors in metals industry. Your focus will be on developing modular solutions that address the unique challenges faced by metal industry customers at both the cold and hot ends of their processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Commercial product ownership of the product line’s offering related to the metals industry
- Drive product offering competitiveness (incl. development and productization of application technology and related processes)
- Develop customer relationships via customer visits, trade fairs, and industry marketing actions and promote our offering of applications to generate leads globally
- Develop and maintain a roadmap of offerings for the metals industry
- Provide application-specific consultation to the sales organisation to support the offering process
- Support sales organisation in complex decision-making cases as well as sales negotiations
- Manage key accounts of selected crucial global customers
- Oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept through development, launch to the end of the life of it.
- Ensuring product cost and quality targets are met
- Proactively drive the achievement of product cost and quality targets through continuous process improvement.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams comprising technical product management, supply chain, and regional representatives to drive timely product launches and resolve delivery challenges, ensuring continuous value creation for customers.
- Track and report on key performance indicators such as adoption rate, cost efficiency, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.

What should you bring?
We are looking for a motivated product management professional who has experience in B2B sales, ideally from heavy machinery or the metals industry and is knowledgeable about value-based selling. For success, it is required that you have strong technical skills with a commercial focus, and it is preferred that you have background in heavy machinery or the metals industry, and knowledge of value-based selling.
Your capabilities and experiences to succeed:
- A degree in engineering and good commercial expertise
- Experience in:
- Product & project management and understanding of heavy lifting equipment
- Market analysis, forecasting and cost & price -calculations
- Metals industry
- Business development
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate needs into solutions.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in both written and spoken English. German and/or Finnish language skills are highly beneficial.
- Availability for some global travels per a year
