PRODUCT ENGINEER

Job description

Ports Part Center is part of Port Service Business Unit located in Hyvinkää, Finland.

Our main responsibilities are to offer, sell and deliver spare parts to container handling, shipyard and bulk handling customers globally.

We are looking for a Product Engineer with technical background to be part of our global parts supply organization.

Key responsibilities include:

- Configuring operator panels 
- Programming yard computers 
- Handling spare part data  
- Supporting with master data 
- Providing technical support to our customers 

What we expect from you

A suitable candidate should hold a degree: BEng or MSc in automation engineering, and have basic knowledge in automation and electrical engineering. The candidate should be fluent in both Finnish and English, have good MS Office skills, be comfortable with Linux systems have a positive service attitude and willingness to develop and learn through their work is a must. Knowledge of SAP and Teamcenter is a benefit. 

This position is ideal for recent graduates, as prior work experience is not required. While some tasks can be performed remotely, most responsibilities will necessitate at least weekly in-office attendance.

Familiarity with programming tools, particularly Siemens Step 7, field bus systems (such as Profibus and Profinet), and SQL databases are valuable assets for this role, though not mandatory.

The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
