Port Services

Business Unit Port Services are the one-stop, global port services partner powered by deep equipment expertise. Our range of port services starts with equipment maintenance and increases alongside any terminal's evolution, where we are continuously expanding the boundaries of our customer's operational efficiency. We have profit and loss responsibility for the service business for all applicable products of the Business Area Port Solutions and we will focus on and be dedicated to a total service commitment with the highest quality service for all our customers worldwide.

About the role

We are now looking for a new colleague to strengthen our Digital and Advanced services team.   

The team behind Product Management Digital and Advanced Services drives digitalization in product management, focusing on digital and advanced services that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. You will have the chance to make a real impact by supporting key projects such as Condition Monitoring, Data Analytics, and Predictive Maintenance, all aimed at shaping the future of port services. 

As the Condition Monitoring Engineer, this role will support condition monitoring analytics, reporting and collaboration between various units. You will be part of the Port Services team within the technology department.  

This is a key role to ensure we can grow and scale our digital and advanced services further by driving new technology- and condition monitoring product developments effectively. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Passionate and willingness to develop new technologies in an evolving role by driving and taking ownership of new condition monitoring product developments
  • Condition monitoring analytics, reporting and findings management
  • Management of core condition monitoring product documentation activities
  • Keenness to travel for solving problematic issues and to improve data quality
  • Have enthusiasm to approach problems together with a solution-oriented mindset
  • We are rather remote team, but we want to not feel like one by embracing close working relationship by minimizing silos and having highly effective collaboration 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience and relevant degree in engineering
  • Broad knowledge in technology including condition- and vibration monitoring, but also knowledge in general for IoT and PLCs are seen as a strong asset
  • Strong communication and team-working mindset, ability to work across BA with various teams
  • Fluency in the English language
  • Effective in working across cultures and geographies
  • You are a self-starter and can work very closely with a small team
  • Interest into product development in an industrial manufacturing set-up
  • This role includes some business travels to other Konecranes and customer sites within Europe.
