Job Description

We are recruiting an Operations Manager to join our team based at our service office in West Bromwich.

 This role is essential to providing leadership and directing day to day operational field activities and operational control from a P&L perspective.

This role is best suited to those who are technical and like a blend of managing people as well as delivering great customer service.

 Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing leadership and directs all day-to-day operational field activities within a service office relating to service requests.
  • Accountable for field operative productivity, utilisation and availability ensuring that resource levels are matched to requirements and maintained at optimum levels
  • Setting operational goals and expectations and then ensuring achievement through planning, coordination and performance management.
  • Responsible for account management of a defined set of customers (outside of those customers with dedicated account management) within the service office ensuring customer satisfaction and delivery of regular business review.

 


Qualifications

What should you bring?

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who ideally are qualified in an engineering discipline and have experience of working within the lifting equipment industry, as this provides a true insight into the health and safety aspect relating to cranes.

The role of the Operations Manager has direct reports (Service Technicians), so having previous line management experience is essential as well as being in customer-facing roles will help build long-lasting relationships both internally and externally. As we have previously mentioned, practising and leading safety is an essential part of everyday life here at Konecranes, so being a safety champion and having experience of this is extremely important to us. Finally, from a day-to-day operational perspective, having commercial awareness as well as being analytical and organised, will bring together all the required components to have a very successful and enjoyable career with us!
