Job Purpose:
Provides leadership and directs all operational (day-to-day) field activities within a ‘branch’ relating to service request execution including safety, customer satisfaction and consultation (safety/visit review), planned vs actual labour/material management, material requisition/preparation and operationally derived opportunities and leads. Ensuring that the scope of agreed service is fulfilled and that it is on time.
Accountable for field operative productivity, utilization and availability ensuring that resource levels are matched to requirements and maintained at optimum levels and that skill gaps and performance development areas are identified through the TPP process and managed through a combination of people development, training and performance management. Responsible for developing a safety-first mindset within the branch team, embedding a culture of continuous improvement through operational excellence whilst ensuring 1KC process adherence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safety
- Service request execution (end to end)
- Planned vs delivered labour/material management
- Productivity & utilization management
- People & Performance management
- Quality service delivery and customer satisfaction including customer consultation
- 1KC end to end process adherence
- Supporting district management with sales forecasting
- Operational efficiency and continuous improvement
- Part of the district management team
- Perform other duties as assigned and/or defined by company from time to time.

- To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts, Regulations and applicable Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
- Report all hazards, incidents and injuries in accordance with legislation and company reporting procedures
- Participate in programs and assessments to improve health and safety in the workplace
- Execute all functions in line with the applicable delegation of authority
Skills & Knowledge:
- A minimum 3 years experience in Service Management/supervisory or similar.
- Working Industry Knowledge.
- Strong customer facing skills.
- Leadership and decision-making ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organization & Task management skills.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skill.
- Take pride in delivering excellent customer service
- Thrive in busy, fast-paced environment. Ideally a background within the crane industry or a similar industrial engineering setting
- Must be able to travel locally and outside SA for operational requirements
- Proficiency with MS Office applications e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Qualification/Education:
- National Diploma (NQF level 5) in Electrical engineering or Millwright/Electrician trade.
- LMI will be an advantage.

• Technical – Must have a good technical understanding of industrial electrical/mechanical equipment, applicable legislation and regulations in the specific country/market area and the environments which they are working within in order to support effective decision making to support both customers and field operatives. Although they must have a broad understanding the person does not need to be an expert.
• Commercial Awareness – Must have a good understanding of the business fundamentals including volumes, job performance and productivity and the impact on overall financial performance. Commercial terms and conditions
. • Analytical – Must be able to use operational data to support decision making, recognising trends and patterns to draw conclusions and recognise opportunities and then make informed decisions and/or recommendations.
• Emotional Intelligence – Emotional and social skills are critical, the ability to perceive and interpret the way people express themselves, develop social relationships, cope with challenges and use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way.
• Organization & Task Management – Needs to have an efficient way of organizing and prioritizing work in a fast-paced service environment.
• Passion and Drive - Shows resilience, positive energy and dedication to achieve goals. Ability to deal with challenges as they arise with the tenacity to foster and maintain energy and commitment in others.
• Customer First philosophy – Able to continuously deliver high quality customer satisfaction in order to make it the competitive differentiator. Constantly looking build the culture to deliver customer excellence throughout the team
