Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finnish financial accounting team. We are mainly responsible for local statutory financial statements (FAS) and indirect and direct taxes for our Finnish companies. You will work in collaboration with a team of five experts and together we take care of four juridical companies in Finland.

This position is based in our headquarters in Hyvinkää, Finland and we offer flexible hybrid working opportunities.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Handling the reporting of Finnish value-added tax (VAT)
  • Managing the reporting process for foreign VAT registrations
  • Taking care of Intrastat reporting
  • Being responsible for various mandatory regulatory reporting
  • Taking responsibility for tasks concerning fixed assets
  • Handling various other team tasks

Qualifications

What you should bring:

  • Suitable education in financial accounting (e.g. tradenomi/Bachelor of Business Administration) and at least a few years of experience in financial roles
  • Knowledge of Finnish VAT matters within an international environment
  • Fluent in using Office software, particularly Excel
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks with deadlines
  • Flexibility during busy reporting periods
  • Initiative, accountability, and a service-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in the English and Finnish languages
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills

It's a plus if you have

  • Knowledge of foreign VAT registration matters
  • Expertise in Intrastat reporting
  • Knowledge of matters related to income taxation
  • SAP and oneStream skills
  • Familiarity with IFRS/FAS
  • Work experience in a large international corporation
