Job Description
We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finnish financial accounting team. We are mainly responsible for local statutory financial statements (FAS) and indirect and direct taxes for our Finnish companies. You will work in collaboration with a team of six experts and together we take care of four juridical companies in Finland.
Your key responsibilities
- Preparing Finnish and Foreign registrations VAT compliance and VAT reconciliations
- Preparing Intrastat reporting
- Be responsible for various mandatory regulatory reporting
- Take responsibility for tasks concerning fixed assets
- Handle various other team tasks
Qualifications
What you will bring
- Suitable education in financial accounting and at least a few years of experience in financial roles
- Knowledge of basic VAT matters within an international environment
- Fluent in using Office software, particularly Excel
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks with deadlines
- Flexibility during busy reporting periods
- Initiative, accountability, and a service-oriented attitude
- Proficiency in the English and Finnish languages
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
It's a plus if you have
- Knowledge of foreign VAT registration matters
- Expertise in Intrastat reporting
- Knowledge of matters related to income taxation
- SAP and oneStream skills
- Familiarity with IFRS/FAS
- Work experience in a large international corporation
