Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-driven Quality Control / Quality Assurance Engineer (Electrical) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring adherence to quality standards across all project stages — from inward material inspection to shop floor process inspection and final FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing).

If you are passionate about maintaining high-quality benchmarks and have hands-on experience in electrical inspections, crane electricals, welding standards, and quality management systems, we’d like to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Inward Inspection & Material Quality:

  • Conduct incoming inspection of all electrical, mechanical, and fabricated components including cables, motors, drives, panels, relays, contactors, and structural parts.
  • Verify Material Test Certificates (MTCs), calibration reports, and supplier quality documentation.
  • Ensure conformance of inward materials to approved specifications, drawings, and standards before release to production.
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and coordinate with the purchase/vendor development team for resolution.
  • Maintain and update inward inspection records, GRN logs, and rejection reports.

🔹 Shop Floor & Process Inspection:

  • Perform in-process inspection of electrical assembly, wiring, and integration of control panels, junction boxes, and crane systems.
  • Installation, Parameterisation, troubleshooting and Commissioning of the Drives and Inverters.
  • Hands-on experience in VFD parameter setup, PLC-based system inspection, and electrical panel testing.
  • Strong technical understanding of crane electricals, drives, motors, and control systems.
  • Inspect drive installations (VFDs, Soft Starters, PLC panels) and ensure proper configuration, parameterization, and interlocking with control systems.
  • Verify wiring standards, cable routing, earthing, and termination quality as per design and safety norms.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance to welding quality standards (WPS, PQR, WPQ) and fabrication tolerances.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure adherence to inspection checklists and control plans.
  • Collaborate with production and design teams to address and eliminate quality issues proactively.

🔹 Testing & Final Inspection:

  • Prepare and execute Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as per customer and project requirements.
  • Perform functional, continuity, insulation resistance, and high-voltage tests for electrical systems and panels.
  • Ensure all testing instruments are calibrated and traceable to national/international standards.
  • Review and maintain FAT reports, inspection test plans (ITPs), and quality dossiers for client handover.

🔹 Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement and maintain quality management practices as per ISO 9001:2015.
  • Use QC tools (7 QC Tools, CAPA, FMEA, Pareto Analysis, 5 Why) to drive continual improvement.
  • Participate in internal audits and support third-party inspections and customer quality audits.
  • Identify process gaps, propose corrective actions, and monitor their effectiveness.

🔹Awareness of ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards
