Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Engineer to join our Product Master Data team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a deep understanding of Teamcenter, PLM, NX, and 3D CAD. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of Material Master Data Management and a minimum of 1-4 years of relevant experience in the crane industry, specifically those who possess knowledge of Chain Hoist and Rope Hoist systems. Additionally, expertise in using Teamcenter for effective product lifecycle management is highly desirable, along with knowledge of additional CAD software and PLM tools.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating and updating items in the PLM system, including parts, assemblies, and associated data. Work on the day-to-day item creation activities while maintaining the SLAs                                                                                                                                                 
  • Manage 3D models creation with tools like UG NX, SolidWorks into the PLM system.
  • Follow different international standards like DIN, EN, and ISO to complete the design and components.
  • Manage the product's master data, ensuring that it is consistent with design changes, BOMs, and other related data.
  • Support data cleansing and data migration activities. This involves ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness during the transition process. Additionally, provide support in data-driven activities such as Product Data Mass Migration, where large volumes of product data are transferred from one system to another.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or product master data/platform environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Project management experience.
  • Knowledge about Teamcenter PLM/NX 3D CAD.
  • Knowledge or overview of material Master Data management.
  • Problem-solving, decision-making, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.
  • Verbal and written communication plays a key role in this position.

Qualifications

Qualification/Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (B.E)
  • Proficiency in Teamcenter, PLM, NX, and 3D CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of Product master data Management.
  • Creation of BoM (Bill of Materials) in team centre
  • Review master data/information in the system(s) to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Required Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in design engineering and product data management.
