Job Description

JOB POSITION SUMMARY

The Vice President, Service Supply, Region AME will provide executive leadership for all supply functions supporting the Industrial Service business across the Americas. This includes responsibility for Service parts, the Parts Machining Center (PMC), Modernizations materials, and Parts Engineering. The role focuses on materials readiness, planning, sourcing support, machining throughput, engineering accuracy, inventory, customer support, and distribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Main priority is taking care of the customer through the frontline service group. Improve lead-time accuracy and reduce lead-times by improving efficiencies. Improve customer communication regarding shipment notifications and changes in shipment dates.

• Develop and execute the Regional Service Supply strategy in alignment with regional initiatives.

• Lead initiatives to enhance parts availability, modernization materials readiness, machining throughput, engineering accuracy, and overall supply reliability.

• Own P&L performance for Service Supply including inventory, obsolescence, logistics costs, machining center productivity, and labor absorption.

• Provide leadership and oversight for Parts Engineering, Technical Sales Offer Support, and Parts Machining Center, ensuring accurate part identification, technical validation, and engineering support for Service and Modernizations materials.

• Drive root cause analysis for recurring part issues, failures, or engineering deviations and implement corrective engineering improvements.

• Partner with Global Engineering, Product Support, and Modernizations Engineering to ensure parts compatibility, revision control, lifecycle management, and quality standards. Along with modernization of components including electrical control packages, mechanical assemblies, upgrade kits and machinery.

• Support frontline Service teams by providing rapid engineering assistance for part equivalency, substitutions, legacy part interpretation, and technical inquiries.

• Integrate PMC operations with fulfilment workflows including pre-assembly, QC, packaging, and shipment.

• Lead S&OP processes to align demand, supply, and stocking strategies.

• Ensure BOM accuracy, sourcing feasibility, and material availability without owning project execution.

• Lead distribution center operations to ensure safety, accuracy, throughput, and high on time performance (OTP). Optimize freight, transportation partners, warehousing, and export compliance.

• Ensure adherence to pricing policies and Delegation of Authority (DoA) for parts, modernization materials, and PMC output.

• Partner with Global Procurement to ensure supplier capacity, quality, and cost structure for Service parts, modernization materials, and machined components.

• Oversee regional order management processes ensuring accuracy, speed, and customer-centric execution. Lead order support functions responsible for quote validation, order entry, tracking, and exception management.

• Promote a Safety-First culture across machining, engineering, warehousing, and material-handling operations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or Business required. Equivalent military or industry experience considered in lieu of degree.

· MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

· Professional certifications a plus: ASCM CSCP/CPIM, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP. (Multiple certifications are valued; not all are required.)

· 12+ years progressive leadership across service/aftermarket supply chains, including parts planning & fulfillment, multi-site distribution, machining/fabrication environments (PMC), and engineering change/BOM control. [Parts VP | Word]

· 7+ years leading senior managers and cross-functional teams (Supply/Procurement, Service Operations, Sales, Engineering, Finance) in a regional or multi-country context.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to travel internationally, locally and outside the service area for operational requirements & training when necessary.

· 30% to 40% Travel required.
