The Technical Illustrator will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical illustrations, graphics, and documentation related to Mobile Harbour Cranes. The role requires strong engineering drawing interpretation skills, expertise in illustration software, and collaboration with global teams, information designers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver high-quality technical illustrations for end users.
- Develop technical graphics and illustrations for Mobile Harbour Cranes.
- Coordinate illustration requirements with stakeholders.
- Ensure quality and consistency of final artwork and illustrations.
- Collaborate with information designers and internal teams.
- Support technical editing activities as part of the role.
- Awareness of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards
The role is based in our office in SP Infocity, Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in: Mechanical/ Production/Automobile Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a Technical Publications or Technical Documentation department.
- Experience creating technical illustrations, artwork, and graphics.
- Preferred industry exposure: Heavy Engineering / Material Handling Equipment / Automotive Industry
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Required Technical Skills
Illustration & Graphic Tools:
- IsoDraw
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- CorelDRAW
Image & File Management
- Editing and managing vector graphics
- Working with:
- CAD files
- SVG
- CGM
- JT files
- Image tracing and optimization
Engineering Knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
- Good understanding of:
- CAD software
- Engineering drawings
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards
Additional Skills
- Experience working in global teams
- Technical writing knowledge (preferred/added advantage)
Bachelor’s Degree in: Mechanical/ Production/Automobile Engineering from a reputed university.
