Tax Accounting Intern

If you’re interested in taking your career to new heights, we have an immediate need for a part-time Tax Accounting Intern in Springfield, OH.  This position will support the Region Americas management team with assisting in sales tax, income tax, property tax, fixed asset accounting and US Census reports as well as helping the accounting department with other projects as needed.   

•         Prepare tangible property tax returns

•         Review fixed asset additions to determine if sales tax should be included

•         Use fixed asset information to help the team with income tax, sales tax and property tax matters.

•         Obtain documents required by sales tax audits and sales tax returns

•         Preparing reports of annual sales by city for use in city income tax returns and city business license renewal applications

•         Assist in preparing data needed for annual corporation income tax returns

•         Preparation of US Census Reports

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum two university semesters completed.  Applicant must be planning to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and must be enrolled in classes on this path.
• Must possess strong communication and computer skills especially in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point).  Experience with SAP accounting systems is very helpful. Prior experience a strong plus.
• Willingness to work hours required to meet required deadlines. Minimal travel required.  The candidate should be able to learn quickly and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Salary $15.00 per Hour
