We are looking for a Summer Trainee, VR Training Developer to join our Operational Excellence team at Business Unit Port Services, focusing on training-related topics. As a VR Training Developer, you will be working on developing VR projects and training modules using Unreal Engine. Your daily responsibilities will include developing VR projects with Unreal Engine, focusing on safety and maintenance training use-cases, creating interactive and immersive training experiences for our employees and providing assistance on other learning and development initiatives as required. You will work closely with your team members who will help you get started and support you in your day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperation skills and network with the best talents in your industry. The job is located in Espoo with the possibility for partial remote work.

What kind of talent are we looking for?

This role is ideal for a student who is eager to learn more about VR development and training-related tasks. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your good teamwork skills, hard-working and proactive attitude, and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.

Requirements:

• Academic background in a relevant field, for example software engineering or computer sciences (preferably 3+ year studies).
• Some experience in creating VR projects in Unreal Engine with blueprints and publishing for mobile devices. If you have previous projects in your portfolio, please attach links to those.
• Some experience in 3D modelling from CAD models is preferred.
• An interest in learning and development, particularly in creating training modules and enhancing training experiences through VR technology.
• Earlier work experience in similar tasks is seen as beneficial.
• Proficiency in using standard IT programs e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.
