We are looking for a Summer Trainee to join our RH Crane and component platform team in Hämeenlinna. As a trainee you will be working with process documentation and information management within a mechanical product platform environment, as well as supporting engineering tasks. Your daily responsibilities include for example assisting with organizing, classifying and maintaining information, supporting process documentation, and depending on interest, also may include mechanical design tasks. You will also gain insight into how engineering operations are led, facilitated and documented in practice. You will work closely with your team members who help you get started and support you in your day-to-day activities. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your cooperation skills and network with the best talents of your industry. The job is located in Hämeenlinna with the possibility for partial remote work.

What kind of talent are we looking for?

This role is ideal for a mechanical engineering or industrial engineering student who is eager to learn more about how information management links to facilitating and supporting (mechanical) design operations. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your good teamwork skills, hard-working attitude, and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.

Requirements:

• Academic background in mechanical or industrial engineering preferred (preferably 2nd-4th year studies)
• Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Understanding of analytical thinking and problem-solving from your studies or working life
• Good skills in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Excel, Email, etc.
• Basic knowledge of CAD, PLM, ERP or MES tools is seen as a bonus
• Earlier work experience in product design, product data management or similar tasks are seen as beneficial
• Experience or knowledge from ISO 9001 quality standard is seen as beneficial
