 Job Duties:

• As directed by Technical Documentation Manager, plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operation and maintenance procedures and manuals.

• Collect and correlate vendor literature, assembly drawings, and standard manuals for inclusion with manuals.

• Maintain a logical change summary.

• Observe and/or participate in engineering testing procedures and manufacturing events.

• Interview subject matter experts.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Provide work direction and training to less-experienced writers.

Required writing skills:

• Content management system

• XML authoring

• Technical editing

• Adobe Illustrator/vector-based graphics

• Adobe Acrobat Pro

• Adobe Framemaker

Desired technical skills:

• Solidworks

• Reading engineering drawings, BOMs

• Electrical engineering concepts (schematics, PLC technology, etc.)

• Mechanical engineering concepts (hydraulics, internal combustion engines, gearcases, brakes, etc.)

• OSHA, other industry regulations

Minimum years experience: 7

Minimum experience: Associate's degree with relevant experience
