Company Description

At Konecranes, we believe that great customer experience is built on the people behind the Konecranes name. Everything we do, we do with passion and drive. We believe diversity drives business success and is the foundation for our growth. We welcome different backgrounds and skills that enrich our community and we promote a place where we can ALL be ourselves. This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work.

Job Description

Do you get energized by coordinating complex projects, managing multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that every detail runs smoothly?

Would you like to play a key role in supporting global Container Terminals to optimize their operations — ensuring efficient communication, coordination, and project administration from start to finish?

At Konecranes, we develop digital twin solutions used to test and optimize Terminal Operating Systems before they go live and whenever new software updates are implemented.

We’re looking for you — a structured, communicative, and proactive Project Manager who enjoys working with diverse international teams, managing stakeholders, and ensuring that all project processes are aligned and documented to perfection.

You’ll help maintain our customer relationships, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and support the operational and administrative aspects of our software projects.

This position has a strong international scope and may involve occasional travel.

Even if you don’t meet all requirements, we encourage you to apply — we’re looking for the right person to grow with us!

Your responsibilities as a Project Manager:

  • Coordinate and administrate end-to-end project processes to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support customer implementation and optimization projects by facilitating meetings, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Prepare project reports, monitor budgets, and manage orders and invoices using SAP, Excel, and Word.
  • Contribute to project planning, prioritization, and coordination within Agile (SAFE/Scrum) development frameworks.
  • Ensure project governance, compliance with standards, and transparent reporting to all relevant parties.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and internal teams to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Participate in relevant industry events or trade shows when required.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of demonstrable experience in project coordination, administration, and stakeholder management.
  • Academic degree in a relevant field, demonstrating strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Affinity with software projects or digital solutions; experience in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFE) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to balance multiple priorities and expectations.
  • Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (typically 1–4 times per year).
  • Full-time availability preferred (32 hours per week possible).
  • Enthusiasm for building relationships, coordinating teams, and contributing to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the port, logistics, or industrial sectors is an advantage, but not required.
  • Prior experience in business administration, consulting, or customer-facing roles is a plus.

This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager who thrives on stakeholder management, strategic coordination, and delivering impactful solutions — not just tracking tasks, but shaping success together with customers and teams.
