At Konecranes, we believe that great customer experience is built on the people behind the Konecranes name. Everything we do, we do with passion and drive. We believe diversity drives business success and is the foundation for our growth. We welcome different backgrounds and skills that enrich our community and we promote a place where we can ALL be ourselves. This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work.
Konecranes Supply organization consists of global and local operations and comprises safety, procurement, manufacturing, subcontracting, logistics, site operations and operations coordination. BU Port Cranes Supply serves BU Solutions as well.
Supply has a vital role in building a scalable business model that fulfils the qualitative and quantitative targets of our operations, despite the prevailing market conditions. Supply also maintains the manufacturing footprint and optimizes its performance by using efficiently its own manufacturing sites, partners, and subcontractors.
Supply Operations, Operations Coordination team is currently seeking two Production Coordinators. One position is offered as an undefined term contract, while the other may be either undefined term or fixed-term (12 months) depending on business needs. Both roles will report directly to the Manager, Production Coordination, and offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact global projects.
As a Production Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials from engineering through to site delivery. You’ll support multiple delivery projects at once, collaborating with several project managers to keep timelines on track and operations running efficiently.
Your key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the delivery project with other stakeholders in the project team according to the project and process requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering.
- Prepare project material flow and delivery plans.
- Initiate and manage the delivery project in 1KC and other dedicated systems.
- Control the production of the delivery project in close co-operation and active communication with internal and external suppliers.
- React and resolve unexpected situations in the supply chain.
- Continuously improve the Port Crane delivery process and production coordination.
What you should bring:
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a solid foundation of technical knowledge gained through professional experience (e.g. delivery project or other engineering work), academic studies, or personal interests. Ideally, you hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s in engineering field, supply chain, logistics, or similar. You’ll need a strong grasp of technical drawings, and work experience in roles such as Project Engineer or Supply Chain Coordinator is an advantage. Familiarity with Konecranes IT systems (e.g. SAP) and global supply chain operations is a plus.
We’re looking for someone who is target-oriented, analytical, and an effective communicator. You should have a strong sense of urgency and a proactive attitude toward resolving issues. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and make sound decisions even with incomplete information is essential.
Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills are considered an asset.
As the role may involve travel (10–30 days per year), flexibility and readiness to travel are important.
Why join us?
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a truly international and global environment, where you’ll be supported by a collaborative team and encouraged to grow professionally. The Production Coordinator role offers a strong foundation for exploring diverse career paths within the organisation.
You’ll gain a comprehensive view of all project phases and functions - from procurement and engineering to site operations, project management, and manufacturing - giving you valuable insight into how our delivery projects come together.
