Job Description

We are recruiting a Procurement Manager to join our team. This is a full time, permanent position based at our office in Ashby, with hybrid working available.

As Procurement Manager you will lead and deliver procurement strategies that align with best practices and drive value creation, playing a vital role in ensuring the organisation receives value for money across its services.
  
Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of UK-Wide Procurement Activities
  • Leadership of Procurement & Fleet Team
  • Development of Purchasing Strategy
  • Forecasting Demand & Inventory Management
  • Supplier & Product Research
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Contract Negotiation & Monitoring
  • Fleet Management
  • Warehouse - Collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, ensuring effective coordination and smooth operation between procurement, supply chain, and distribution team
  • Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
  • Procurement Performance Reporting
  • Liaison with EMEA Sourcing Management - Collaborate with sourcing management teams across the EMEA region to ensure alignment on procurement strategies and best practices.

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional who has:

  • Qualified CIPS with good educational background is essential
  • Procurement experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of warehouse operations is desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience of managing projects, negotiating key contracts and sourcing innovative suppliers to suit business dynamics
  • Proven experience of creating strategic partnerships
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
