Process Owner – Product Engineering (Electrical)

Country:          India

Location:         Pune, Maharashtra

Position Overview

We are seeking to hire Process Owner, Product Engineering (Electrical) to join Product Processes & Configurators (PPC) process team.

This role encompasses the responsibility of Konecranes electrical product design & engineering process developments and implementations. This includes electrical engineering processes applicable to development engineering, platform engineering, offer and order engineering as well as engineering data flow. The processes need to be defined for both the short-term actions initiated by supply optimizations, product harmonization or system changes in Konecranes IT landscape, and long-term actions driving Konecranes towards internally harmonized process and systems environment. You will also be involved in PLM implementation projects and need to ensure process quality management.

You will work as part of Product Lifecycle Process Team and other process development teams as well as IT agile teams that offers a wide view to Konecranes business.

 

Who we are?
The Product Lifecycle Process teams holds several roles and responsibilities in global process development, PLM implementations and drives PLM system developments to serve our corporate way of working, in particular to

  • define end-to-end processes from product engineering, product modeling, product configuration, production engineering and product lifecycle viewpoint considering consistent data flow, efficiency, quality and simplicity
  • define system requirements needed to support the defined processes, create concepts thereof and initiate system developments
  • support implementation projects to take the defined processes and systems in our daily business operations.


We are a cross-cultural team part of the Konecranes business area Industrial Service and Equipment with team members located in Finland, Germany, USA and India working in a global, corporate-wide context. Our team works in close cooperation with all Industrial business units, as well as IT and supply.

 

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Drive development and implementation of corporate product engineering processes, mainly electrical engineering processes covering all products across the organization and regions
  • Training and communication of engineering processes and process improvements, including the training of corresponding workflows in the PLM and CAD systems
  • Train PLM Engineering tools which are needed in Design and Engineering
  • Participate in and support system implementation projects, esp. drive PLM implementation projects
  • Collect and review business needs and convert them to corporate processes and IT requirements
  • Ensure that we get the planned business benefits
  • Support Product Processes related roadmaps in coordination with global process owners

 


Qualifications

What we expect from you:

  • Suitable academic background in electrical engineering (B.E. or M.E.) or equivalent with 10+ years working experience in design and engineering
  • Experience in working with process and system development
  • Good Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management, Design & Engineering and BOM Management
  • Good knowledge of Offer/ Order Engineering
  • Experience with PLM, CADs, ERP; experience with Teamcenter PLM and CAD systems like E3
  • Experience in PLM Implementation, Business Process Study, Trainings etc.
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken) are mandatory, other languages can be a benefit
  • Ability and willingness to travel

  • Scrum/Agile way of working knowledge
  • Good knowledge of Product Development Process
  • Experience with SAP
