Do you want to apply your problem-solving skills to systems combining networking, software, and hardware on a large fleet of connected machines and the digital services which are enabled by state-of-the-art solutions? Would you like to be part of a modern, multi-disciplinary team and help run our IoT operations smoothly?
We are looking for an Operations Engineer Trainee to join our Machine Data Platform team in Espoo/Hyvinkää. As an Operations Engineer Trainee you will be working together with specialists and software developers to maintain Konecranes digital services, which will enable our end customers to run their operations safely, environmentally friendly and with high productivity. You will also work closely with our systems engineers and Global Technical Support, helping them keep our machines running with high uptime and availability.
We will train you to be able to take responsibility in making sure our services and operations run smoothly. The job is located in Espoo and Hyvinkää with the possibility to work partly remotely.
This role is ideal for a computer science or telecommunications student who is eager to learn more about IoT, Industrial Internet and connected machines. You are welcome to Konecranes as yourself, but we especially value your good teamwork skills, hard-working attitude, and enthusiasm for developing yourself. Our work environment is highly international, so proficiency in English and the courage to work in an international work environment are important.
Requirements:
- Suitable education (a degree, a certification or currently studying for one) in electronics, computer science, telecommunications, automation engineering or a related field
- Expertise with at least one of the technologies mentioned below:
- Experience (practical or academic) with industrial computer systems, Windows and/or Linux servers and/or embedded systems
- Computer networking and/or telecommunications skills
- Knowledge of diagnostics and/or testing systems
- Electronics expertise
- Suitable education or degree
- Problem-solving mindset
- Willingness to learn
- If you also have some of the following skills or expertise in your pocket and you could bring some extra value to the team with them, please let us know what experience you have with:
- Automation systems, such as Step7 and TIA Portal
- An incident management system
- A monitoring system, such as Zabbix, Nagios or Datadog
- Bash scripting
- Cybersecurity and certifications
