Job Description

We are looking for an engaged and values-driven People & Culture Manager for Chile & Peru.

Based in Chile, this role supports the implementation of our people strategy at the local level, ensuring alignment with regional and global initiatives while addressing the unique needs of our teams in Chile and Peru.

You will be responsible for a broad range of human resources activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, performance management, engagement programs, and compliance with local labor laws and corporate guidelines. The role partner closely with managers and employees to help build an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing work environment.

This is a key position in enhancing the employee experience and ensuring consistent HR practices across both countries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee recruitment operations by setting priorities, guiding execution, and ensuring hiring efforts align with workforce planning and business objectives.
  • Understand, communicate and support various Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, labor laws, standards and government regulations and ensure compliance.  Coordinate implementation of services, policies and programs.
  • Coach, counsel and guide managers/supervisors through employee relations and career development issues.  Review termination decisions and disciplinary issues prior to execution and provide coaching, counseling and guidance.  Provide advice regarding Company policy, philosophies and precedence. 
  • Supervise payroll process, ensuring accurate payment, compliance with laws and prompt response to customer documentation requests.
  • Coordinate and implement organizational, workforce and succession planning activities in accordance with Regional and Global policies, programs and directives.
  • Provide guidance and support on compensation matters. Ensure consistency and compliance throughout the organization and across all business units.
  • Monitor and report use and quality of performance evaluation program and provide training, support and guidance.
  • Understand and represent countries to the Regional People & Culture function and participate in Regional initiatives.  Develop, maintain, apply and balance an understanding of the impact of employee goodwill and business and corporate needs.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services provided.  Develop, coordinate and implement changes for the improvement of workflow and enhancement of services provided.
  • Identify training needs.  Develop and maintain effective relationships with external training partners.  Evaluate and monitor participation and success of training programs.  Facilitate, conduct and/or participate in management training or presentations regarding various Human Resources topics.  Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulations concerning employment.
  • Conduct periodic audits of Human Resources related activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist employees with employment questions and ensure requests are handled promptly.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in similar HR roles or at least 8-10 years' experience as a Human Resources Generalist. Relevant education in Human Resources or a related field is required.
  • Solid knowledge of Chilean and Peruvian labour and migration legislation.
  • Experience leading multi-country teams in a matrix organization.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Positive attitude, proactive approach to challenges, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong attention-to-detail, particularly in data accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 environment and comfortable working with various HR Management systems and digital tools.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001 standard

Other Requirements

Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally.
