Job Description

Global HSE Manager, Quay & Horizontal and Yard

In this role you will support the organisation within the Business Units Quay & Horizontal and Yard and their crane deliveries worldwide. You will work in collaboration with the Konecranes and Business area Port Solutions HSE network in driving the Konecranes HSE vision, strategy, and management framework.

As Global HSE Manager you belong to both business unit’s management teams, will work closely with business unit heads and will report directly to the Director, HSE, Business area Port Solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Operational leadership of

    - Occupational health and safety risk management

    - Hazard and incident management

    - Overall health, safety and wellbeing of our employees

    - Environmental management

  • Ownership of BU Quay & Horizontal and BU Yard HSE processes and framework in compliance with Konecranes HSE policies, procedures, and processes and supporting the organization to comply with legislation.
  • Ensuring and driving health, safety and environmental awareness and safety culture across the organisation, including development of HSE trainings.
  • Managing and supporting the organisation in incident investigations and ensuring that improvement actions and lessons learned are efficiently communicated and implemented across the organisation.
  •  Reviewing, following and developing HSE KPIs based on Konecranes targets.
  • Monitoring and analysing HSE performance to identify improvement opportunities together with the organization
  • Active role in development and implementation of HSE IT-tools
  • Travelling globally to our sites on HSE topics

Qualifications

What should you bring?

  • At least 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial project business
  • Preferably academic degree in relevant field
  • Process mindset together with drive for continuous improvement
  • Strategic orientation with a practical touch in driving change
  • Great communication skills
  • English language fluency
