Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Technician to join our FIFO team in Canning Vale, Western Australia. Your role will include performing scheduled crane inspections, maintenance and repair work on overhead cranes, as well as challenge yourself on breakdowns where your troubleshooting skills and technical skills will really come into play. 

To be successful, you must be a team player with attention to detail. You will be safety focussed, methodical in your approach and have confidence in speaking with customers about their business and your findings. Working at heights is also a must! 


Qualifications

  • Fitter Trade certificate or Mechanical Engineering qualification essential
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Fitter or in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both our customers and our service technicians.
  • Current and valid Drivers Licence
  • Safety conscious
  • Elevated work Platform Ticket (desirable)

Additional Information

  • A base hourly rate starting from $49.00 for every hour worked for an experienced Fitter, plus a site allowance of $11.50 per hour for all hours worked on site.
  • Must be willing to work a FIFO 8/6 Roster
  • Paid travel time to and from site
  • Additional payment for working/ travelling outside of normal swing
